Performance Theatres AMDA Los Angeles features four main theatres for learning, skill development and performance. Our black box theatre and two laboratory theatres each seat 99 audience members and feature full theatrical lighting and sound packages, as well as climate control. You'll also find an outdoor amphitheater that hosts everything from theatrical performances to dances. We showcase select class projects on this stage, which is also used as a rehearsal space. Rehearsal Space AMDA provides plenty of places to train outside of the classroom, including a variety of studios and private voice rooms. These spaces also include a range of stereo and audiovisual equipment, pianos, ballet barres and sprung floors in the dance studios, and cabaret tables, blocks and other performance rehearsal setup equipment. All rehearsal studios are available to students outside of scheduled course times. Film, TV and Editing Facilities AMDA provides the latest technological resources devoted to filmmaking and TV show creation, including full shooting setups with lighting instruments, cameras and playback and editing equipment. With these and other professional equipment, you get the opportunity to feel what it's like to perform on camera and see firsthand how these productions come to life. Performing Arts Library In AMDA's performing arts library, you'll find an expansive collection of scripts, scores and DVDs.

A special 4-week program gives students a comprehensive creative and technical experience and training necessary to create their own music videos. The curriculum includes intensive study in all major disciplines in the field of cinema, such as cinematography, directing, script writing, production and editing. Students create and edit their own music videos and help other students to work on them.

Each day, one class of the six is “dropped” in the first rotation and another is “dropped” in the second rotation, adding the previously missing class to the beginning of the rotation. The rotation takes six days to complete and the process repeats beginning on the 7th school day.

This program offers advanced training for audio, music and more, providing students with focused knowledge and understanding of recording engineering and foundational music and production skills.
